In other classes you have the teacher guiding you along telling you what to learn or how to learn it, but in this program you kind of go your own path and you do your own learning.

Description:
The Real World Design Challenge (RWDC) is an annual event that provides high school students, with the opportunity to work on real world engineering challenges in a team environment. As part of the competition held at both state and national levels, student teams will be asked to address a challenge that confronts one of our nation’s leading industries—this year’s focus is on the aerospace industry. Students will utilize professional quality computer-aided design software to develop their solutions and will also generate presentations that convincingly demonstrate the value of their solutions. The Real World Design Challenge provides a bridge from education to the 21st century workplace and thus will better prepare students for careers in industry. It teaches innovation, creativity, and collaboration using the expertise that industry, government and higher education have been perfecting for decades. See http://www.realworlddesignchallenge.org for more information.
