I think just being down to earth was our teacher's greatest strength. When we didn't know that much about something, he would actually sit there and help us and to try to work with the skills that we had already.
*EDUCATION CONNECTION is the fiscal agent for the Expo and is a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) non-profit educational organization. Contributions may be tax-deductible under provisions of the IRS tax code.
Business organizations can get involved in making the Expo a complete success in a number of ways, through the contribution of both human and financial resources.
Leading
$25,000: A leading sponsor receives top-level recognition during the Expo, including prominent mention in press releases and communications. In addition, there is a speaking opportunity at the opening ceremony of the Expo on Saturday morning; placement on the Expo Web site, including sponsoring organization’s logo and Web link; an opportunity to help name and judge up to five awards in categories relevant to the sponsor’s line of business; and a listing in the 2010 Expo program booklet.
Supporting
$10,000: A supporting sponsor receives second-tier recognition during the Expo, including mention in press releases and communications. In addition, a supporting sponsor receives placement on the Expo Web site, including sponsoring organization’s logo and Web link; an opportunity to help name and judge up to three awards in categories relevant to the sponsor’s line of business; and a listing in the 2010 Expo program booklet.
Sustaining
$5,000: A sustaining sponsor receives third-tier recognition during the Expo, including mention in press releases and communications. A sustaining sponsor also receives placement on the Expo Web site, including sponsoring organization’s logo and Web link; an opportunity to help name and judge up to two awards in categories relevant to the sponsor’s line of business; and a listing in the 2010 Expo program booklet.
Higher-Education Exhibitors are able to reach over 1000 high school and middle school students and their families, traveling from locations across the state, by purchasing booth space as a program or outreach partner.
Program Partner
$2,500: Each program partner receives affiliation with an Expo course or program (Bio21, E-Commerce, Information Technology R&D, Project Lead the Way, CT Pre-Engineering Program, CT Technology Student
Association), exhibition booth, Expo program listing, and Web site listing.
Outreach Partner
$1,500: Each outreach partner receives an exhibition booth, Expo program listing, and Web site listing.
Exhibit hours at the Connecticut Convention Center:
• Friday, May 7: Exhibition Booth Set-up, 3 PM to 6 PM
• Saturday, May 8: Exhibits Open to Public, 9 AM to 3 PM
Student Awards and Prizes:
Gold: An organization donating $2,500 or more may choose to have an award given in its name.
Silver: A contributor of $1,000 or more has the opportunity to serve as an award judge.
Patrons and Donors: Those contributing up to $1,000 will be listed in the Expo program by level of support.
