Transportation to Student Meetings: 2009–2010 Academic Year

REQUESTING TRANSPORTATION
Please request transportation for student meetings directly from the bus company. Requests should be made at least two weeks before the meeting date to ensure that buses are available. We are all committed to a greener future, so we ask that you coordinate with teachers from schools near you or en route to your destination in order to reduce carbon dioxide emissions.

Please see the list of reliable transportation companies below. If you use a company not on this list, let Janis Savanella know and also ask the company to send you a confirmation. In addition, it’s a good idea to check back with the company one week before the charter date.

SPECIFICS
Some companies request a purchase order, including Dattco and New Britain Transportation. Please have the company send the PO request to Janis Savanella.

For New Britain Transportation, you need to fill out a transportation request form. You can download this form at http://www.nbt.bz. Scroll down to “Charter Quote Form,” download the PDF, fill it out, and fax it to Rachel at 860-276-8832.

INVOICING
If you use a company not on the list, an organization may request COD. If possible, please avoid companies that do not invoice as this often causes complications.

Thank you for your help. Transportation invoices for student meetings should be sent to:
